A pleasant smooth brew, blendedfrom the first picking of the leaves. Known as the Tea of Happiness, it is steamed to maintain its colour and increase acidity while also being high in vitamin C. Has a fresh picked aroma and delicate flavour, but should never be infused with boiling water as this makes the tea bitter.
Arguably Japan's most popular natural tea leaf, Sencha Fukujyu green tea (which means Green Spider Leg!) is enjoyed for its refreshingly sweet taste. It's aroma is rich with hints of hay, and the overall taste is lively with a slightly tannic finish.
Sencha is grown practically everywhere in Japan, but it's not only famous for its almost astringent sweetness and pleasantly smooth brew, but also for its health benefits! Sencha Fukujyu is almost ridiculously good for you, considering it's high Vitamin C content! It also helps ease digestion, so is a perfect compliment with a heavy meal.
