Ethiopian Yirgacheffe has a distinct fruit like acidity, pungent, traditional winey, Mocha taste, with lots of body. A smooth all day coffee.Probably the best of the washed Ethiopian coffees, Yirgacheffe is grown in the Sidamo area of Ethiopia. With the washing process giving a bright, clean cup, it has a distinct fruit-like acidity that adds a pungency to the traditional Mocha taste. A very pleasant, full-bodied and smooth all day coffee.

A washed Yirgacheffe from the �home of coffee growing� or so it is argued. This coffee grows in tropical garden in jungle conditions with shade giving trees. We have chosen this coffee from the Oromia (famous from the film �Black Gold�) district, for its fine floral taste and wonderful aroma. The benefits of Fairtrade to the farmers have been considerable. They have 4 schools and 4 health centres in the coops. They have their own bank, they have 3 sites for eco tourism with state of the art washing and pulping stations.
