Partly Rainforest Alliance certified, Monte Cristo Estate is a special gourmet coffee made from Caturra and Bourbon varietals that are shade grown at an altitude of 1200 metres, handpicked, and washed on a family run in the Copan region.
Operating since 1910, the farm employs over 700 local people and incorporates a school and clinic.
As well as producing around 6500 x 60kg bags of coffee per year, the farm also tends cattle and horses
Taste: Monte Cristo Estate is a fine, aromatic, neutral cup with acidity and a light aroma of peach
Although a fairly neutral cup improving preparation methods have developed this coffee quality in the last 10 years.
