The wonderful blackcurrant berries, native to Europe and Asia have been consumed for centuries in various forms not only for their great taste but their health benefits too.
As well as making a stellar cuppa, Blackcurrants are also made into jellies, wines and other dishes, but it's the berry's tea making capabilities which we of course are most interested!
We probably don't need to tell you just how delicious and refreshing our Blackcurrant tea is, but what you may not already know is just how good for you just little berries are. Blackcurrants contains high levels of antioxidant flavanoids known as anthocyanins, which help to fight free radicals, and are extremely high in Vitamin C.
In fact, according to Drugs.com, Blackcurrants were given to soldiers during World War II if and when Oranges became scarce, purely for their Vitamin C content.
So not only is this our Blackcurrant tea a delicious fruity brew for anytime of day, it's also a great thing to have if you're feeling slightly under the weather.
