Rooibos, which means �red bush�, is a legume which grows in the heathland of South Africa's Western Cape. As well as rooibos tea including bundles of antioxidants, it's also caffeine free. The plant grows naturally without it, making it perfect for everyone including pregnant women and children.
With similar characteristics to Orange Pekoe tea, the dried leaves of the Rooibos shrub from the Cedar Mountains above Cape Town, South Africa, produce a lightly fragrant aroma. Free from caffeine and almost free from tannin, it can be served hot or cold with milk or lemon, spiced, or as a basis for punch. High in vitamin C, it is suitable for digestive problems and can even be applied on the skin to help with allergies and eczema.
